Colon Cleansing Live Study

Let me start off with an introduction first. My name is Jason and I am what you call an average American, soon to be, middle aged father. I started this blog as a way to focus myself on my own personal health goals. I thought that if I wrote this down for the world to see, it would force me to do something about my health or risk embarrassment for everyone to see. I want to live long enough to see my children have children and my lifestyle was not going to let this happen if I didn’t change things.

What prompted me to do this live study was the fact that I saw a late night infomercial for a colon cleansing system that was basically 2 different pills. The first set of pills cleans your colon and the second set kept your colon clean once you cleaned out your system with the first set of pills. I sat there in my bed thinking they will show just about anything on television these days, but maybe using a system like that could help me. They promised weight loss and more energy, as well as a health colon.

So what the heck, buy some pills and do some exercise and see what happens. At worst case, I lose some money on the pills, but at least I would be doing something. I also thought I might combine tactics and maybe try some of the “slimming teas” on the market and maybe a few other things. So I thought I would at least give it a try.

I had concerns about my health because 3 months ago I was admitted to the hospital for chest pains that would not go away. I had woke up late at night and had a “heavy” feeling on my chest. I felt light headed, cold, and felt the need to vomit. After 2 hours of this, I decided to go to the hospital where I stayed for almost 12 hours. Luckily, it was not a heart attack, but it was a wake up call. I wanted to make sure I stayed around to see my children grow up and live their lives.

I work as a web developer, so I sit in a chair all day and all night. I do not get time to exercise as I also have a side job ( freelance web developer! ) and any other time I have I spend with family ( 3 kids and wife ). Most of the time though, we are not doing anything that would be considered exercise.

I have a before picture of myself in hopes that I can publish a great “after” picture. However, I am not putting it on this blog unless I lose weight AND look better. No sense in embarrassing myself more if I fail at this. Check out my stats below though.

Here are my stats:
Age: 30
Sex: Male
Height: 5′ 10”
Weight: 270 lbs
Energy Level: None
Exercise Per Day: None
Sleep Duration Per Night: Anywhere from 4 hours to 12 hours

I wasn’t always overweight, about 7 years ago I was down to 130 lbs. Yes, that number is correct. I was skinny and yes I enjoyed it. Life caught up with me and so did having a family and all the stress of bills and responsibilities. So now, I am trying to do something about it.

My first step will be finding some reviews on colon cleansing systems and actually purchasing them. Then I will start some kind of exercising routine. I use to play tennis and ride mountain bikes, so more then likely I will go with something like that instead of traditional “push ups” or “aerobics”.
